Congratulations to Mrs Wright

Many congratulations to Mrs Pamela Wright, Head of Drama, who has successfully passed her Associated Board Flute Exam at Grade 8.  Mrs Wright has been learning the Flute since 2005, (after a rather lengthy gap since her recorder playing days at Primary School!) and has lessons with Keith Levi, one of Lochinver’s peripatetic Music teachers.  She is sure that her inspiration to learn another instrument comes from being part of an environment where the Music Department offers the boys so many musical opportunities - it has been hard work but she has enjoyed the challenge! 

Mrs Wright is a gifted actress and has performed in regional Repertory Theatre, and has worked extensively as a Voice-over Artist for London and Regional Commercial Radio Stations.  At Lochinver, she has co-directed the school productions of 'Joseph and His Amazing Coat' in 2008 and 'Oliver' in 2010 with Mrs Diane Harrison, Director of Music, as well as writing and directing five school plays, all of different genres. 

Mrs Wright also supports the boys, on occasions, by playing in the Senior Orchestra when they perform at Pupils’ Concerts and plays and performs with the Da Capo Wind Band in Whetstone.
